Join CAA—Select Individual Membership Package

General Information

An individual membership can be purchased for a one- or two-year term (except Life membership). Membership fees at the $195 dues level and below are not tax-deductible; these memberships are subsidized by CAA.

You must make a selection for each of the four options below.

1. MEMBERSHIP CATEGORY

CAA members enjoy a range of benefits. To see the full list of benefits associated with each membership category, visit the Individual Membership page. Fees shown are for 1yr/2yr terms.

Regular Membership

This membership level is intended for those individuals not attending the CAA Annual Conference (February)—minimal conference rate discount

This membership level is intended for those individuals attending the CAA Annual Conference (February)—maximum conference rate discount

Discounted Membership

Proof of status required. Please submit proof of status by email (see below), fax to 212-627-2381, or mail to CAA Member Services, 50 Broadway, 21st Floor, New York, NY 10004.

Required proof of status: valid student I.D.

Required proof of status: official I.D. such as driver's license or passport listing date of birth (must be 65 years of age or older to qualify for Retired Membership).

Required proof of status: title and affiliation (part-time) or website url or resume indicating current position or employment status (independent professionals). This subsidized category is intended to support professionals who receive limited or no institutional support.

Donor Circle Membership

Tax-deductible in the amount of $105/$390

Tax-deductible in the amount of $405/$975

Tax-deductible in the amount of $4,805

2. PRINTED PUBLICATIONS OPTIONS

CAA publishes two print scholarly journals in art and art history—The Art Bulletin (the foremost journal for art historians in English) and Art Journal (devoted to twentieth- and twenty-first-century art and visual culture).

In addition, active members may access past copies of The Art Bulletin and Art Journal online by logging in to their CAA Account.

Regular and Discounted Membership

Membership at the Basic, Premium, Part-Time Faculty/Independent, Retired, and Student levels includes a choice of print subscription to either The Art Bulletin or Art Journal. A second print subscription may be added for an additional $65/year.

Donor Circle Membership

Members at the Sustaining, Patron, and Life levels receive print subscriptions to both The Art Bulletin and Art Journal at no extra cost.

3. POSTAGE

Journals are sent to all non-U.S. addresses via surface mail.
