This workshop will be an introduction to building algorithms using the
Grasshopper visual scripting language within Rhino 3D. Parametric modeling
has a variety of applications in art and design including generative art,
structural engineering, architectural design, and advanced fabrication.
Familiarity with Rhino is preferred but not required. Participants should
have a laptop with Rhino 6 installed (trial OK).
Leader: Aaron Nelson is assistant professor of digital
design and fabrication and director of the MakerBot Innovation Center
at State University of New York New Paltz.
Free and open to the public, however, advance registration required.
Depending on availability, tickets may be obtained on-site in the
conference registration area.
